As an independent insurance agency, we offer multiple carriers to find the right coverage and cost for your needs.

High-Risk & SR-22 Coverage

If you've had a lapse in coverage, multiple tickets, or require an SR-22 filing, Bowerman Insurance can help. We work with carriers that specialize in high-risk auto insurance so you can get back on the road legally and affordably. For most clients, SR-22s can be filed the same day.

Classic Car Insurance

Classic car insurance protects your collectible vehicle through a specialized insurance policy. Antique cars are often maintained or increased in value, so classic car insurance typically covers up to an agreed value. A car is often considered classic when it's at least 10 years old and has historical interest, but classic car insurance companies have their own rules for accepting vehicles into their program. For instance, you may be subject to qualifiers like age, driving experience and record, and access to another vehicle.

Classic car insurance is similar to a regular auto policy, with the benefit of having coverage for your vehicle's agreed value and its specifications such as usage, storage, and more.

Classic car insurance coverage is for property damage and bodily injury when you take your classic car to auto shows, tours, and collector vehicle functions, and for occasional pleasure driving.

Benefits of Classic Car Insurance

Further specialized coverages include (common options on a Classic Auto Insurance Policy, but it depends on the company and may not be offered at all):

  • Increased replacement cost: If your car increases in value beyond its agreed value, this coverage will pay for the difference.
  • Roadside assistance: Including towing only with a flatbed tow truck to prevent wear and tear while transporting to a repair shop or back home.
  • Auto Show medical reimbursement: In case someone sustains an injury at an exhibit or event featuring your car.
  • No attendance required: Provides coverage while you are away from your vehicle as it is being displayed, such as at a car show.
  • Spare parts coverage: Covers damage or theft of spare parts like tires, valves or other gear, as part of a covered incident.
  • Cash settlement option: If your car is totaled or stolen, you can opt to take a cash payment without the requirement that you use it to repair or replace your vehicle.

Classic car insurance companies will also provide the most common car insurance coverages such as liability, personal injury protection and uninsured motorist coverage, as well as comprehensive and collision coverage.

Collectible Car Types

Different to other collectables and antique items, a collectable car is not defined by its age. Rather collectable cars can be cars with historical importance, cars that pioneered new technology or raised the standard of consumer expectation.

When looking at the car collections, they fall into four predominant categories:

  • Exotic:
  • Antique:
  • Muscle Car:
  • Classic Cars:
  • Age:
  • Rarity:
  • Design:

Modified car insurance: Defined by many companies as being significantly altered in its engine, body, chassis or interior from its original condition, which can negatively or positively change the value.
